The observer and the participant

“What kind of spider understands arachnophobia” asks the poet Robert Wyatt

////

And all of the sudden by chance

a negative zebra appears

to Ma

as a mirror image

Not a moment too early nor too late

To questions the essence of  duality and direction, reversibility and translation, individuality and knowledge, memory and place.

And when “Ma” in Japan defines the experienced concept of interval and space, a gap and a pause, the space between and the absence of composition.

Then the poet´s question is as pristine as it is a complex one,

but becomes an occultation,

hiding the other from the view when passing trough.

And the observer becomes the participant.
