“Self titled adaptation of The decline of the Carthaginian Empire (1817)”, 2015, 146cm x 176cm, archival pigment print, diasec/frame is on view for the first time at Gallery Taik Persons booth.
The work is based on the original painting of the same name by William Turner from 1817.
My adaptation comes from slow looking, deconstruction and rebuilding,
the interrogation and reformulation of space and spatial constellations.
Turner´s painting is an essay.
Mine is more like an action poem.
